Plain English, because most disputes come from something nobody wrote down.
Once you have paid for it, the work is yours. We place no restriction on what you do with it, including reselling it. Stationers, stylists and planners buy from us every week and resell our work to their own clients under their own name — that is a normal part of what we do, not an exception we tolerate.
We will not contact your client, and we do not put our name on trade work unless you ask us to.
Prices shown on this website are guides, are in Australian dollars and include GST. Your actual quote depends on size, material, finish and quantity. A quote we send you is valid for [CONFIRM: 30 days?] unless we say otherwise on it.
This is the important one. Nothing goes on a machine until you have approved a proof. We will send you a proof to check, and when you approve it, that is what we print.
Checking the proof is your responsibility — spelling, names, dates, times, guest lists. We read them too and we will flag anything that looks wrong, but on a seating chart with 96 names you know who is coming and we do not. If an error is approved and printed, a reprint is a new job at a new cost.
If you supply your own artwork, we print what you send. Print-ready means a PDF with fonts outlined, images at 150 dpi at final size and 3mm bleed. If it needs work to be printable we will tell you before we start.
Standard turnaround is 2 to 3 business days to dispatch, from artwork approval. That clock starts when you approve the proof, not when you first enquire — so approving quickly is the single biggest thing you control.
Same day printing is available on artwork approved before 1pm, subject to capacity and what is already on the machines, and carries a surcharge quoted at the time. Call before ordering rather than after.
Most orders ship direct to you rather than to your venue, so you can check everything while there is still time to fix it. We can deliver to a venue instead if you prefer, and you can collect from Ravenhall.
Freight time sits on top of the dispatch window: next business day to Melbourne on express, 1 to 3 business days to Sydney and Adelaide, 3 to 5 to Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and 4 to 6 to Perth. Air freight is available when a date is tight, at a higher cost.
Once a consignment leaves us it is in the courier's hands. We will help you chase it, but we cannot control their timetable. If your date is tight, tell us before you order and we will be honest about whether it is achievable.
Before you approve artwork, changes are usually free and cancelling costs you nothing. After approval we have bought material and started work, so changes may not be possible and a cancellation may be charged for work already done. [CONFIRM: deposit and cancellation policy]
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If something arrives faulty, damaged or not what you approved, tell us as soon as you can — 0415 743 691 or info@eventsigns.com.au — and send a photo. We will replace it, remake it or refund it depending on what has gone wrong.
Because every job is made to your specification, we cannot take something back simply because you have changed your mind. That is not us being difficult: a seating chart with your guests' names on it has no value to anyone else.
Screens and print do not match exactly. We print in CMYK and calibrate carefully, and the proof you approve is what comes off the machine — but a colour on your phone will not be identical to the same colour on board. If an exact colour matters, tell us and we will talk about a physical sample first.
