What a standee costs

Standees start from around $50 inc GST and move with height, material and cut complexity. Life-size figures cut to outline sit above simple shapes. Send your artwork and the finished height and we will price it.

Standee or cutout?

A cutout is a printed shape. A standee is a cutout built to stand up by itself, with a support fitted to the back, so it can be placed on the floor and left there. If it needs to stand without being propped against a wall, it is a standee.

Sizes

Standees are most often printed life-size, around the height of the person or character, or larger as a feature. Smaller tabletop standees work for displays and counters. Single panels print up to 2.4m tall, and the support is sized to the height so the standee is stable rather than top-heavy.

What makes a good standee

A high-resolution image — a life-size print shows every flaw in a small or compressed photo. Send the original file.
A clean outline — a figure against a plain background cuts more cleanly than one in a busy scene.
A sensible base — very thin shapes, like an arm held out, are weak points. We will suggest where to keep a little extra board around the outline.

Where they get used

Life-size characters at kids' parties, the birthday person at a milestone party, brand mascots and product figures at launches and in retail, and photo props at weddings and events. For brand use, they can be printed to your brand guidelines and supplied in quantity.

Turnaround

Standard turnaround is 2 to 3 business days to dispatch from artwork approval.
