What a backdrop costs

Backdrops generally run from $150 to $750 inc GST, depending on size, material and whether it is a printed panel or a built structure. Fabric and rigid panels sit at different points, and anything freestanding costs more than a panel fixed to a wall or frame. Send your size and where it is going and we will quote it exactly.

Photo booth backdrops

A photo booth backdrop has one job: look good behind people in a photo. That means a matte finish that will not flash back at the camera, a design with the main detail around head height, and a size wide enough for a group, not just a couple. Tell us how many people you expect in a shot and we will size it from there.

Fabric, vinyl or rigid?

Tension fabric — printed fabric stretched over a frame. No glare and no creases, packs down small, and photographs best. The usual choice for photo areas.
Vinyl — hung from a frame, fence or truss. Covers a large area for less, and stands up better outdoors.
Rigid board — crisp, flat and sharp up close, and the only option if you want shaped tops, arches or cutouts fixed to the front.

For brands and corporate events

For launches, galas and award nights, the backdrop is usually a logo wall photographed all night. That has its own page: media walls and step and repeat backdrops.

Sizes

Rigid panels print up to 1.2m × 2.4m each and are joined for anything wider. Fabric and vinyl print to the size you need. Freestanding backdrops need floor space behind them for the frame or supports, so measure the space you actually have, not just the wall.

Turnaround

Standard turnaround is 2 to 3 business days to dispatch from artwork approval. Installation is available across Melbourne and can be arranged interstate, quoted separately. Transit sits on top of the 2 to 3 business day dispatch window: next business day across Melbourne on express, 1 to 3 business days to Sydney and Adelaide, 3 to 5 to Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Canberra, and 4 to 6 to Perth.
